Dan Storgaard
Dan Storgaard was born and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon and graduated from Rex Putnam High School before attending Oregon State University. Soon Dan returned to his first love, custom cars. Much of his attention was focused there throughout the 1990's, while attending real estate classes at night. In 1999, Dan decided to move to Ferndale, WA to work for his Uncle Richard "Dick" Storgaard owner/operator of Edgewater Appraisal. Both Dan and his uncle are both Washington State Certified Residential Appraisers performing appraisals in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. In addition to his personal company he started in 2005, Dan is still associated with Edgewater Appraisal.
In addition to appraisal services, Dan is also an AHERA Building Inspector performing asbestos building surveys. When applying for a permit to do any remodeling, renovation, or demolition, an asbestos inspection by this type of accredited inspector is required by law. AHERA stands for "Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act".
Dan and his wife Heidi have two children and now live north of Bellingham in the Laurel/Meridian area. He and his family are involved at Christ the King Church in Bellingham. Hobbies and other passions include cooking, singing (choir, worship team, campfires, etc.), woodworking, custom and classic cars, and sports (mainly motor sports). The latest "project" is a 1969 Karmann Ghia coupe, currently disassembled in the garage.
